A. New recruits arrive to fill the ranks, it makes Paul feel like a veteran. Kat and Kropp were arguing over how to win the war. The soldiers miss the barracks, and would even rather deal with Himelstoss rather than be fighting in the war.
B. Journal Entry
Today new soldiers arrived to fill or ranks. Most of them were young, too young, atleat half were only 1 7. Later on Katczinsky and Kropp were arguing over how to win the war. I didnt care, I just wanted out. We discovered that himmelstoss was coming to the front. Tjaden had a greater grudge than all of us. He is a bedwetter, and was forced to bunk with other bed wetters, so they would urinate on one another, so he very mad.
